Productive Entrepreneurship Fund

The Fundación del Empresariado en México A.C. (Fundemex), the Interamerican Foundation (IAF), the Fundación W.K. Kellogg and FEMSA invite the civil society organizations (CSOs), that are authorized grantees and nonprofit, to apply their productive projects those that can help groups in poverty to improve their incomes. The projects have to be located in the states of Campeche, Chiapas, Quintana Roo and Yucatan.

Objective:

This second Productive Projects call 2010 is aimed to those groups that live in high poverty level, to improve their economical development and to help them to be capable trough the productive projects´ strengthening, trying to get a better lifestyle.

We will support, through CSOs, productive projects of grassroots groups that: promote the increase of their incomes, their welfare and their opportunity developments, they should attend some kind of need and community initiatives; avoid handouts, and they should include some of the following aspects:

§ Increase the production capacity through the getting or building assets, equipment, or similars.

§ Improved the market´s accesses and / or get into new marketing channels.

§ Individual and grassroots´ skill and ability developments to improve their administrative and technical skills, organizational ability, marketing skills, byers´ negotiating, or similars.

§ CSOs´27 training in topics like administration and / or technics to improve their tools and methodologies into the grassroots.

Amount of Cofinancing:

The supported amounts are between $ 325,000.00 (three hundred twenty five thousand pesos 00/100 MN) to $ 525,000.00 (five hundred twenty five thousand pesos 00/100) per project, this contribution should be 50% of the total cost, as maximum.
