Fundemex Celebrates 5th. Anniversary

Mexico, D.F. 17 November 2009. The Business Foundation in Mexico celebrated its 5th. Anniversary with the presence of sr. Armando Paredes, president of the Business Coordinating Council and Chairman of Fundemex, Mrs. Martha Smith of Rangel, Executive President and Mr. Alfonso d'Avalos, Director General of the foundation, in a simple cocktail made with support from the gallery and Ethra Luis A. Cetto.
Ms. Martha Smith presented a report on the results obtained in the first 5 years of the foundation stressing that have benefited more than 32.600 people and civil society organizations who have participated in programs of economic and social development through three strategic lines of Fundemex. The main improvements are:
? 30 production projects in 12 states;
? 1.788 young scholars;
? 326 civil society organizations strengthened in various topics related to the professionalization of its activities;
? More than 55,000 employers have made donations to Fundemex and
? The strategic alliances have resulted in more than 15 organizations, corporate foundations and businesses to leverage resources donated by business.
Furthermore, gave recognition to each business organization to be an essential part of the foundation.
For his part Armando Paredes, called on all present to continue participating with Fundemex in bringing down poverty, which represents the most serious problem in the country.
